Colenimo S/S 2013

Photos from Honey Kennedy.

Here's a spring/summer collection straight out of my dreams. It's by Colenimo and called "Little Miss Poker Face", inspired by Helen Wills Moody, a famous tennis player in the 20s and 30s. I love the preppy, English feel to the whole thing, and the mix of menswear with really practical fabrics. Such a great collection from Colenimo once again!

More Greens by Grinshpan

I'm always such a fangirl when it comes to Gabriel Grinshpan's clothes. Even though we're in opposite seasons, I'm always able to pull inspiration from his designs and beautiful lookbooks. I mean, most of the outfits with look great with a pair of tights! For the rest of the Greens by Grinshpan lookbook, visit the shop's facebook page.

Note: A while back I posted Greens' previous collection and labeled it "spring/summer" when it was really the  fall lookbook. Sometimes I'm thrown off by collections coming out of the southern hemisphere, especially in the middle of changing seasons.

Greens by Grinshpan: Summer 2012

The Buenos Aires label Greens by Grinshpan gets it right every season. They keep it simple with lots of denim and stripes and a nice tomboy aesthetic. I post about them nearly every season because I love their designs so much and, just as I have in the past, I'm still wishing they'd open an online shop. I'm posting their summer lookbook below which is as good as ever.

Elkin S/S 2012

I haven't had time to look at many spring collections yet, but if the rest are anything like Elkin's than I'd say were in for a pretty good season. I came across Elkin's winter collection on my most favorite Portuguese blog, Kiss Me Quick, and soon found myself on their website, dazzled by the photos from their spring lookbook.

Sisters Kara and Brit Smith are the magic behind the label, which combines Brit's love for lingerie, and Kara's love for staying out late and sleeping in her clothes. The clothes are meant to be seen in both the daylight and the after hours, with each collection themed around a particular literary genre.

These days it's seems like all my money goes to books anyway, if not for school than to satisfy my Amazon addiction, so I'm glad to see a label that's combining two of my favorite things. The behind the scenes video of the shoot is pretty cute too with all those farm animals running around!

Jeffery Campbell Spring/Summer 2011 Lookbook

I know it seems like I've been in a bit of a shoe phase lately, more specifically wooden platforms, but I promise it's just this 70s project I've been working on the past few days. I don't know why I'm trying to defend it like it's a bad thing because I absolutely love everything about chunky wooden platforms!

Another thing that I love is old decrepit ghost towns in the middle of nowhere, which makes this Jeffery Campbell spring/summer 2011 lookbook all the more appealing to me. Not only are the shoes extra badass (is it me or does JC keep getting better and better and better?), but the locale and photographs are both absolutely stunning. I think my favorite photograph (and shoe!) is the floral boots in front of the church sermon schedule. Just brilliant!

There are so many more great photos in the lookbook too. This is only a handful out of 80 or so! To check out the rest, visit the Jeffery Campbell site and download the PDF. If you'd like to WIN a pair from the new lookbook, be sure to visit the Solestruck blog for entry rules.

Strummer S/S 2010

The fall weather has been nice here in Arkansas, but I'm afraid it's starting to fade into winter too quickly. We got our first really chilly (and rainy) day a few days ago, and now all I want to do is sift though warm weather collections. I found this beautiful Australian label call Strummer from We Are Selectors (another great shop/blog) and immediately started dreaming of spring (my favorite season!). I'd even be happy with dress #1 and that darling brown hat for fall.

Orla Kiely S/S 2011

I've been going bananas posting collections from New Zealand fashion week on my inspiration blog, Cupcakes For The Eyes, but when I found two photos from the Orla Kiely Spring 2011 collection at London fashion week, I knew I had to post them here. I just don't understand how one designer can so consistently put out the most beautiful pieces every season. Also, if that's the new shoes trend, I'm totally in!

To add to my excitement, I also read that Orla Kiely will be collaborated with Sophia Coppola's neice, Gia Coppola, for a sixties-inspired short film starring actress Nathalie Love. The designer says the collection was inspired by a French film she remembered from when she was young, Les Demoiselles de Rochefort and now I've gotta find that film!

I also had to borrow some of Carrie's photos from the pop up presentation last week. I still can't believe Carrie got her photo taken with the go-to Orla Kiely stylist and Lula Magazine creator Leith Clark!!
