My latest article is up on the
Sync website if you're interested in reading. I wrote about ambrotypes and the beginning stages of photography with a tidbit about the Crinoline period included, too. I was so inspired by this lady's detachable collar and the bold print on her dress. I was able to recreate the look with a silk blouse that I've been trying to wear for months and a pretty detachable collar. I could never figure out how to wear the shirt until I found this photo. Anyway, don't want to spoil the article. You can read
here if you'd like.

Haha! :D Perfect look! I like the idea of recreating a look from an old picture.

Such a lovely recreation! And original photo as well! Bravo, Starr :)

that recreation is uncanny. the old photograph is creeping me out a little bit (they usually do). but it's very cool!
It's so cool that you've managed to replicate this look. I love the collar!

Beautiful look; I really like the lace collar!
Oh, you look so beautiful! I love how you used the antique photo for inspiration - the look you recreated is just gorgeous. I've owned a small collection of antique detachable collars for a long time and always buy them when I see them, but am only just now experimenting with how to actually wear them. This is absolutely lovely inspiration. :)
This is really amazing how close it is!!!! Now to go read your Sync. . .I'll be back in a second.
Oooo I probably do have an old photo that you could recreate!! i'll look through them and see what to send in time!
I love the pairing of the detachable collar and the blouse!
Wow, you did a great job of drawing inspiration from this photo! Detachable collars are becoming one of my new favorite accessories!
