Swedish Hasbeens: 70's Wedding

How authentically 70s are these shots from the latest Swedish Hasbeens campaign? I've spent the evening working on a project that pertains to the current 70s trend, so naturally, this set of photos was of particular interest to me! I think I'm most fascinated by the girl in the chocolate brown mini dress in the big family shot, and the groom in his unbelievable velvet blazer and over-sized bow tie. The shoes aren't so hard on the eyes either! I'm glad I waited on my first Swedish Hasbeens purchase when everyone else was getting them this past Spring, but I would eventually like to get a pair. They totally won me over with their story. . .

"Her name was Anita and she was the hottest mum in all of southern Sweden in the 1970’s. While smoking Camel she screamed at her kids until her curlers fell out and just looked fabulous in her white high-heeled clogs."

"One summer day in 2006 we found the shoes she wore (300 pairs of red, white and black beautiful clogs from the 70’s) in the basement of an old clog factory in the neighboring village and brought them to Stockholm. So for all these people that shared our love for Anita’s wooden shoes and for ourselves we started Swedish Hasbeens."

They have done a great job! My favourite photo is the couple passed out on the couch, with grandpa still kicking on! Haha!

Thankyou for sharing these :)

These are too good! The styling is just perfect. I thought they were from an old photo album or something until I saw the second pic!

Oh, Hasbeens are so great! Unfortunately, I have loved mine to near-death by nicking and scuffing--a tender loving care session with sandpaper and shoe polish is in order for mine.
Spring for them (or let Santa get them for you), Starr! You won't regret it. Their quality and comfort and wardrobe versatility are amazing! (I drank the Swedish Hasbeen Kool-Aid, too.)
xoxo,
Gina

What a fantastic campaign - I love it. I havent bought a pair myself either, but have been thinking about it. In particular I love the boots on the mini dressed girl!

Like you I haven't bought a pair; like everyone who hasn't bought a pair they're still hovering in my mind. Now I kind of want them in every colour...

This rocks. I love old 70's photos. I agree, I would definitely steal that girl's whole outfit, mini dress boots cape and all.

Am in love with this blog! Thanks so much for posting these photos ... now very disappointed that I'm already married and can't have a slap up 70s shindig. The shoes have actually made me salivate all over my keyboard. Hmmm ... sticky.

Those red booties are brilliant.. I just want to bend down and snatch them off the girl in the cubicle.

Am I being too creepy again? ;)
