Summer in Fall

Vintage Swimsuit: Estate Sale
Vintage Petal Hat: Flea Market
Espadrilles: Salvation Army
Vintage Lace Table Cloth: Saver's
Nautical Tote: c/o Simply Bags

Here's the swimsuit photos I was talking about on Friday. It seems incredibly odd to be posting them while the sky is raining leaves like it is, but like I said, they were for a project that I'll be able to tell you more about later! For those of you near the north pole, don't worry about me, the temperatures were actually quite pleasant for a day on the beach.

If not for Corey, I would have never made it to this photo location. We were on the banks of the Arkansas River, just down a hill of quicksand and around a hopscotch of scattered rocks. There were billions of tiny bugs, gnats I'm guessing, and I was terrified that one of my espadrilles would spill sideways, pouring me off the rocks and into the mouth of a hungry water moccasin! I guess that was just me thinking the worst, because none of it happened in the end.

If I hadn't sent my nautical tote home with Mitzi, along with all the other outfits I styled just before leaving for New York, I would've carried it for these photos too. I really wanted to take the time to thank Bob from Simply Bags for sending it over from his shop. I only got a chance to photograph it once before the summer passed, and that ended up going towards a guest post that I did for Maria – I hate that I forgot to share all my outfit info on her blog when I had the chance. You can't see it in the photos, but the Simply Bags team was so awesome and embroidered my shop name in a bright red thread and cursive font. I think it's just about the most special thing to carry to the post office with all my etsy orders in tow.  I'm sure it'll be a staple in my photos once summer swings by again, but until I get the chance to photograph all the details, thank you Bob and Simply Bags!
