One Week Til NYC: Let the nerves begin

Socks: Saver's .69 cents
Shoes: Goodwill $6

It's official. In one week I'll be making my first flight to New York City, and to add to the nervousness, my flight is scheduled on September 11th! I'm really not all that worried about the date, just thought it was kind of ironic that my introduction to the city would fall on such a tainted day.

My week is jam packed from here until the day I leave! First, there's packing. I said last week that I was gathering lots of inspiration for my outfits, but too many other things came up and I fell behind on my plans. I know I better get started soon though, or else I'm going to be a disaster trying to put it all together last minute. At least all of things that got in the way were good and exciting!

I'm still not completely caught up though. I have to finish one more guest post that I'm super-dupes excited about—I'll reveal more when I can—and I still need to finish tinkering around with some html for Annie's blog—it's looking good so far! Then there's my first real shoot as a stylist too.

I had a local model contact me asking if I'd like to work with her on a shoot, and of course, I couldn't say no! It'll be my first time working with a professional photographer—sometimes it's nice to know I don't have to do it all—and at the end of the gig, she and I will both get a few prints, a CD, and rights to use the photos! The best part is, I have complete creative freedom. I get to style it AND pick the location for the shoot. The worse part is, the shoot falls on the night before I leave. Yikes! So pretty much, I'll be working on that instead of doing last minute NYC preparations. The model said it was fine if I just photographed the looks and didn't come to the shoot, but I don't think I'd want to miss out on watching and learning from the photographer.

Also, I finally figured out what I'll be doing during my long layover in Memphis too, but I can't reveal that until I get back from my trip. Fingers crossed it'll all go as planned!

I ADORE these photos. Now I want to go out and find a huge field. Too bad I just rained. Laying in the grass would be soggy today.

Can't wait to see you in NYC! I leave in just a couple days! Ack!

Amazing photos. I was, like, could that background possibly be real? Then I thought, it's Starr Crow, of course it's real. :D

Have fun at the photoshoot AND New York! I am sure they are both going to be rousing successes.
