Fourth of July photos.

I hope everyone had a great holiday this past weekend! I took yesterday off and enjoyed my last day with Jake and his family down in Hot Springs, AR. We had a great time at his parents lake house where I got to meet even more of his amazing family. There was watermelon and BBQ (although I settled for a burger instead), and we shot fireworks and went swimming. I put the camera down for most of the day on Sunday (I really took a break; it was great.), but I do have a few photos to show you!
Jake and I looked quite patriotic.
I never actually got in the kayak, but I did play around in the water for a bit.

I love his parents lakeside house. Every night Jake would put some good music on while we sat in the rocking chairs on the back porch. I made a cocktail, Jake grabbed a beer, and we chatted with his family while the kids watched the fireworks from the dock.
It was a really great time and a much needed break, but it's back to work here at home now. If you emailed me over the weekend, I'll be getting back to you today! Also, I was so busy that I forgot to mention my guest post on Saturday over at Rachel's blog, Mousevox Vintage. Here's a little teaser from that post.
I've got lots of cool Hot Springs things to show you this week, so come back tomorrow for a big post on the historic bath houses. I think they're pretty fascinating! There's so much great history from the early 1900's all the way to the 1940's.

Also, don't forget to get your entry in the Designer Apparel House of Harlow peacock ring giveaway!
