Stripes and Monkeys!

I apologize for the later-than-normal post time today. Jake and I both woke up to a loud crashing sound in the middle of the night last night and later discovered it was a huge tree that fell on two of our neighbors cars. It messed up our cable lines and completely totaled both of their cars, but lucky for us we're back online now (the neighbors aren't so lucky).

The shoot was a pretty big fail yesterday. We didn't get a whole lot done because of the high temperatures. We were all hot and miserable, and the sun was wearing me down pretty early in the day. I'm a little worried because it's only May, and I'm already having these kinds of weather problems. I've pretty much decided to go ahead and bring everything indoors. Spring and fall will have to be my outdoor shooting months!

I ended up wearing the exact same shirt as I wore the day before. To be fair, I didn't wear it all day Saturday, just the very end of the day when I took my picture for the blog. Saturday was one of those days where I changed about six times. I'm not really sure why, but I do that every now and then.

Here's a photo of two of my models on our lunch break at Rumba. That's Myriam on the left and Anna on the right.

Unfortunately these were the only two photos that turned out from lunch. The one of me is even blurry, but I loved that sunshine so much I wanted to show it!

And here's an end of the day photo of Monkey. I haven't showed her on here since she was an itty bitty thing!

Monkey is still so adorable. Love your red shades.

It's been so hot here, so I can only imagine how hot it is down there.

I change several times a day on the weekends a lot. I think it is because I have so much fun changing into different outfits...which is something I can not do on the weekdays.

It was horridly hot here this weekend too. I hate when it is hot and muggy out because of the days before that rained. It makes me slow down and not want to accomplish anything.

You look great as usual Starr. I love the shades :]

You know what the worst thing about this weather is? The fact that it's only going to get worse. Last summer, we had over a month straight over 100 degress...I'm totally not looking forward to what this summer will bring.

ugh. Isn't this heat crazy?! It hit in the mid 90s here today! How far are you from Nashville? Apparently you guys are experiencing the same crazy heat wave!!

You look so adorable and cool in this outfit though! So summery!

Monkey is so so adorable!

I really love what you're wearing, I'd wear that in a heartbeat! I wish it were warmer here but too much heat is no fun, either. I remember how how it was in Arizona when I was there a few years ago.

Very cute outfit, it looks like something one might wear holidaying on the French Riviera, chic and simple! I can totally understand what you mean about the heat, it can make taking photos such a chore...or doing anything really!

Monkey on the other hand is such a cutiepie (awesome name btw!) she has such an interesting coloring :)

Lots of love

I am definitely not one to judge someone for wearing things 2 days in a row. You don't even want to know how much I do this. Ha!

Bummer about the heat, lady. I can totally (sadly?) relate with your having six outifts-in-a-day days! Thanks for the kitty pic...I was wondering how she was doing!
