Two Dames Toggled To The Bricks

Dress: Veronika's
Shoes: UO $30

It's been a while since Veronika and I posted another look from our 'Two Dame' collection, but we're finally back with another outfit. The summer months are always filled with so much vacation and travel that we sort of lost track of posting. I actually took these photos at the end of May! It feels strange to just be posting them now, but I'm glad they're finally going up. I've gotten away from the nature filled backgrounds I used in the spring, but seeing these makes me want to get back out there. If only it wasn't so hot. If only I wasn't afraid of summer snakes. If only...

Go check out Veronika's look!

'Two Dames Toggled To The Bricks' Week 2

For this round of 'Two Dames Togged To The Bricks' I sent Veronika that pretty blue ruffle dress you guys made me return to Blue Suede Shoes to get a few months ago. Looking back at that post I find it funny that this is the dress I left behind. I wear it way more than any of the other dresses I got that day (mostly because they need to be hemmed). I'm a sucker for a good dress, but I kind of loose interest in them after a while when I've already styled them with a ton of different shoes and accessories. For that reason, I styled this one with a skirt. It's the exact opposite of what I did with the last 'Two Dames' post, a skirt over a dress instead of a blouse over a dress, but I love the additional styling options that come with both. Of course I adore the way Veronika wore it too. It sort of has a Dorothy feel with that straw purse, and of course I'm drooling over her Heidi braids too.

I love the way my new/old floral umbrella looked with this dress when I styled it too. I can't remember exactly where I got it, but I'm pretty certain it was from an estate sale. The first photo of me flying upward was inspired by a photo my friend Cody took of me a little over a year ago. His photo was much better than mine, but I still love the idea. I threw it in at the end of the set just so you could see what I was talking about.
