Bond Avenue

Dress: Available @ White Sparrow Vintage
Petticoat & Umbrella: Antique Mall
Shoes: Goodwill

Today's picture story is rather short. Corey and I shot these photos a couple of months ago in our favorite area of town (the condemned part where houses are falling apart and people are scarce), and it was one of those days where I wasn't sure that I loved the way I styled everything. On top of that, I was making the silliest faces for the camera and doing the most absurd poses. Normally I'd just shoot the photos again, but I had this dress on loan from White Sparrow Vintage so I couldn't. What a shame too because the dress was really great and deserved a much better pictorial review.

It was such a sturdy vintage dress. The fabric was thick and durable and almost seemed suitable for covering a piece of furniture. I loved it. I only wore it twice, once to a Mexican lunch date with Jake and then to take these pictures with Corey. The house we took the photos at is directly behind my favorite condemned building in town. It was dirty and not nearly as colorful as the other, but even with its imperfections, it had its charms, like the way the light fell into the kitchen as dramatic as a Caravaggio painting. I loved that.

Photos by Corey!

That dress is amazing! The colors are so happy and vibrant! You should be dancing and skipping all over town in it!

The dress is lovely, and the photos turned out just fine in my opinion!
I really do love the colours of the pattern on the fabric - they look incredibly rad and retro.

I love this dress! The colours are so pretty, and I like the contrast of the dress and umbrella with the drab colours of the old house. And I think your photos turned out just lovely - your photos are always perfection.

Well, the print and color of the dress is just lovely. So sad that you had to give it back. I love the detail around the shoulders too. I think the umbrella looks nice and bright against the dilapidated building background. We're usually more critical of our own work, but rest assured these are still super pretty, just like you.
