Dress: c/o Vintage Urban Renewal
Shoes: BCBG via Smart Bargain
Purse: Mulberry for Target
Corey and I have had some trouble adjusting to the new sun schedule. It always takes a week or two to figure out when the light is best, but until then it's a blister of inconsistent shots leaving me to rely heavily on Photoshop. It's a frivolous complaint, really, because I love having the sun around until 7. I'm sure we'll be back on our toes in no time at all.
I've been holding onto this dress from Vintage Urban Renewal for a while now, waiting for both the sun and my new platforms to arrive. Ever since I saw this photo of Vogue Fashion Assistant, Emily Weiss, wearing black suede platforms and a pretty white dress, I knew that I wanted to recreate the look. I couldn't get my hands on a Victorian lawn dress like Emily did, but I'm perfectly happy with the one that Michelle sent over. I wish I could afford some Céline platforms, too, but alas, $600 shoes isn't in my cards, either.
I just bought a big straw floppy hat from Target last week, and I also finished making my floral wreath. I've actually already photographed both. You'll be seeing my new hat soon, but I made the wreath for a Sync project so look for that to show up in a few weeks.
