Field of Dreams

Dress: Target
Cardigan: c/o Magpie & Birdie
Bike Necklace: Modcloth
Heeled Jodhpur Boots: c/o Swedish Hasbeens
Belt: Thrift

This week has brought the most beautiful weather to Arkansas––blue skies + 70 degrees, it just doesn't get much better than that. I feel more rejuvenated and well rested than I have in weeks, and it just makes me wonder what my life would be like if the weather was like this all the time. It makes me feel so good inside and out, and it also makes me want to start playing the blues and dreaming about country livin' again–– more on that another day.

I took advantage of the weather earlier today and went out to one of my favorite deserted areas by the airport. All the houses have been torn down since the last time I visited, but someone was kind enough to leave a chair behind. Sometimes that's all you need to make a set of photos feel exciting and different for a change.

I wore this dress for some photos during the first month that I had my blog and then again later that fall. It's fun to go back and see how I wore it and the things I talked about in my posts!

i've never found random furniture before, but it seems like it would be a great addition to a photo shoot. :) you look beautiful! i love the ruffles on the neck of the dress + your sweater.

That first photo is so hot Starr!!!!!! ;)

I wish I could find abandoned chairs in a secluded area like that! You always find the best photo locations! It's always fun to see how different you style an item too after months/years of not wearing it :) I hope the good weather stays there with you for a long while because you look so serene and happy!

You. Are. Awesome. At first, I thought PROPS you dragged a chair to a field! Power! Then to realize it was there already... even cooler.

You look like a little vintage seductress in that first shot, with that haughty look and bit of skin. I love it!!

Also, I swear your photos just get better and more compelling. Way to continue to step things up, and I can't wait to see where you go!

These are so pretty, Starr. Your found furniture makes such a great addition to the photos with it's interesting, yet not completely out of place, print - just as though it were part of the landscape.

Such a fun look back :) A whole another kind of link within.

Random furniture just screams photo op. One of the few things that makes me miss my time in the North of England - there was so much furniture left in the street. It'd be there for a few hours before someone else carried it off and maybe got bored with it a few streets further down. I was always following the sofa migratory pattern with my camera :D
Love these shots.
