Back into the wild.

Who knows how long this set of photos has been passed around on blogs and such, all I know is that the day I found them was the day I wanted nothing more than to give up my schedule, quit my job, quit my blog and move out to the country with Jake and lead a simpler life. It's that "into the wild" mindset that's inevitable to humans at times, I guess, but I've been feeling it a lot lately. Maybe I'm just tired, or maybe I've been listening to too much southern porch music. I know I can't very well quit my jobs or school, but I talked to Jake and he's definitely down for living in the country (and we are in 'the natural state'. . .) We'll see where that takes us. For now we're casually clipping newspaper ads, looking for potential places.

These photographs from photographer Sully Sullivan capture that mindset perfectly. The video by Jewell & Ginnie just helps bring it all to life.

ugh i totally feel you. i wish life was more about doing the things we loved and exploring rather than making enough money to live. it is such a bummer. i lived in nicaragua for 6 months with my boyfriend this past year and life was so laid back and easy (aside from the no power and bugs thing). sigh.

anyway, enough ranting. if you want, check out the giveaway on my blog.

Yes, I life in the country would be fabulous!

I constantly waffle between wanting to live in the city and the countryside. Maybe I'll just have a house in both places ;)

That video is all sorts of wonderful too!

*Sigh* wow. Sometimes you just need to get away from it all. Right now all I want to do is lie in a meadow with tall springy grass and a warm sun shining down on me. Shame it's winter and raining here.

I've been going through similar feelings this week. After working non-stop, going to NY, coming home broke and working even more, I've become so exhausted and wanting nothing more than an escape. I get to go to Tahoe and hang out for a few days on Thursday and I'm so looking forward to it. Give yourself something quieter when you get a chance!

I haven't seen these photos yet, and I love them! Thank you for sharing them. I definitely get that feeling occasionally of wanting to live a simpler life. It definitely hard to so though.

There is a Llama farm about 5 minutes from where I went to high school that I haven't been to since I was about 20 and now seeing this llama photo I want to go to it.

What a gorgeous shoot. I love all of these and thank you so much for sharing them. It reminds me a little of a civil war reenactment that my dad has photos from in 1971.
