I know I haven't done a great job of posting my Sync articles on the blog lately – mostly because I get real embarrassed when I think about people actually reading them – but here's a link to the most recent one if you'd like to read it. The article thing still makes me nervous, but I really like the outfit that's in there this week, so I'll share! A local reader (and new friend!) submitted a photo for me to use as inspiration, and lucky for me, it was all about the 60s.
I've never done a successful beehive in my life, but thanks to Aya's tutorial I was able to pull one off with only a few visible mistakes – note to self: find more "volume-building" objects! I felt she deserved a shout out in the article, too. Her hair tutorials are the best!

First off, I loved your article and thought your little knee socks in the one photo was so sweet. I have yet to see Mad Men. I did see one episode a couple years ago but I wasn't too into it. Maybe it was a bad episode. Anyway the beehive is splendid and I adore your blog as always.
i heart this pic and your beehive is perfect
Something about this shot alone makes it one of the best photographs I've ever seen in my life.

You wrote an excellent article about using vintage items with a modern spin. And that dress! Too pretty!! I like your writing too. You make a very visually interesting column.
