The 70s

Vintage Sweater: Estate Sale
Denim Shirt: Goodwill
Belt: Antique Mall
Jeans: Gap
Boots: Johphur Boots c/o Swedish Hasbeens

Yay, outfit post! I'm sorry they've been so infrequent lately. Like I said at the beginning of the year, this semester is going to be tough, so just bare with me as I try to keep up! I feel like I've put too much into this blog to let it slip away now, but hopefully I'll be able to maintain at least one or two outfit posts per week.

Despite the fact that it's keeping me busy, I'm really enjoying school right now! I've got the most optimistic and open mind towards my french class – I want so badly to retain what I learn in there – and I'm also loving my second art history course, too.

My friend, Cheyenne, and I have been going to the gym in between our MWF classes, and I can't express enough what an EPIC improvement that is for my life. I know how important it is to eat healthy and maintain a healthy lifestyle, but I absolutely dread working out. I'm trying to change that mentality, and with Cheyenne as my accountability partner, I'm doing a great job. I'm not so concerned with loosing weight, I just want to make sure my heart is healthy!

Does anyone else have their head in the right spot but you just can't seem to get your body moving?? I totally understand, but I want you to know, you can do it!

I love those jeans! I have a pair of distressed bellbottoms I got a few years ago but they are too casual to wear to work since they have holes and rips. I'd love a pair of Gap ones like you have, I'll have to start saving!

Cute outfit, as always :)

I love exercising outdoors: riding my bike, hiking, swimming, etc.. but could not bring myself to go to the gym for soo long. It took me a few weeks to find my stride and what I liked to do there and now I simply don't know what I would do without it! It really is such a wonderful addition to maintain a healthy and energetic lifestyle.

It feels so good when you actually get moving. I still find myself not doing that very often... dang.

I love this 70s thing you've got. Also, keep up with the Western bit. It's grand.

These pics are awesome. It really looks like they were shot in the 70's. Great post, way to go on the gym resolution.

I think those are the BEST pair of flares I have ever seen! I've been after good pair for a while now! You look great, why do people where skinnies when they can be free in a flare :)

This outfit is great! I love the 70s look on you. that's great that you're working out! The way I forced myself to do it was buying a gym membership...I'm not one to waste money :) haha. And totally agree about keeping your heart healthy. I could work out every day and not lose any weight. But as long as I'm keeping myself in shape, it's alright!

I love this! For some reason it really reminds me of freaks and geeks (in a very good way), a couple of years out I know.

Oh, you look awesome Starr. Those are the jeans I had to return, they were way too long on me even with platforms!

Lucky lucky you getting a free pair of Swedish Hasbeens. I want to know your secret. :o

I definitely understand about having trouble getting the body moving. I used to be super fit, and have become.. not so fit. I've been making an effort just to get to the gym the last few weeks at least four or five times.. even if I don't work out I figure it's forming the habit, and even if it's not an intense workout, it's better than sitting on the couch!

P.S. - I love those jeans, I've seen them popping up a lot and am dying to get a pair.

How stupidly cute are YOU?? You're darn lucky I don't live close to you, or I'd snatch that delicious cardigan up yesterday. loving the entire ensemble.

since moving back to the parents [whomp whoooomp] i figured I'd be a workout MACHINE since there really isn't anything else to do [besides work].. turns out my middle name is lazy and the snow doesn't inspire much activity either. So I've taken to standing in front of the mirror nightly with a swim suit on. Surprisingly I now am motivated to work out. ;)
