Duffle Coats

I can't stop drooling over all the duffle coats I've been seeing online lately. After seeing them again and again, I finally remembered to add them to my ever-growing list of 'things to look out for a the thrift store'. I don't know how, but I completely forgot that I bought one on Etsy last winter! I only got to wear it a few times before I had to put it away for the spring, so it was extra special to rediscover it the other day. It's quite possibly the warmest garment that I own.

Jacket: The Cat and the Cow on Etsy // Jeans: Target // Boots, Hat, & Purse: Saver's // Scarf: Forever 21

This particular day was unbearably windy and cold,  so the duffle jacket was the perfect thing to have. Since the weather was so uncomfortable, Corey and I were extra lazy and just hopped across the street for pictures. I think this spot has become one of my favorites for photos!

I love duffel coats, though I don't have one yet myself. Did you know they were named after the town in Belgium where they were first invented (Duffel, which is how I still spell it but most people say duffle nowadays). Your navy is very smart, the classic colour :)

Your hat and duffle coat are lovely. And I'm really loving the post you did on Carven. I'd kill for the entire collection x

Aw, I love your duffle coat, girl! You are reminding me that I should dig mine out from somewhere. I especially love it when duffle coats have the little triangle patches where the toggle fasteners are sewed in. Am I making any sense?

Love,
Jenny

How could you forget such a wonderful coat? I magically found one in my closet when I moved, I have no idea who it belongs to, and never tried to find out...mine.

Finding stuff in your closet that you forgot about is almost as good as buying new stuff. It's like finding gold or money in the laundry!

I love the duffle coat...it looks super warm and the color is great on you Starr!

Oooh that coat is perfect, I've been wanting one like that for ages! Maybe I need to go through my wardrobe to see if there are any hidden gens.

Have you seen this, Starr? http://thestreethearts.com/2010/12/floral-hat/

The hat and poncho reminded me of you.

What a fantastically classic coat! I have so many jackets/coats that I, too, often forget what I've kept and what I've sold or given away. It's nice how rediscovering them makes you feel like you've just bought something new for yourself!
