Thrift Trip Magic

I thought I wasn't going have anything to post today, until I remembered these photos that I took last month. I thrifted all of this stuff around the same time that I went to that 50% estate sale, but I refrained from posting them then because I didn't want y'all to think I had a terrible thrifting habit. I guess by telling you that I defeated the whole purpose anyway, but somehow I think you guys were already on to my bad habits.

The camel coat is my new best friend now that the weather has started to get chilly, and I'm just waiting for the perfect sweater to come along so I can wear my new, fuzzy peter pan collar. The 30's butterfly dress is probably my favorite thing here. I almost bought it on the first day of the sale, but I decided to wait because it had a few stains and holes in it. Despite the minor flaws, I couldn't stop thinking about it all weekend! It's probably the main reason I went back to the sale on the following Sunday (when I bought the 60's orange coat). I was so happy that no one else had snatched it up before I got back! Now I just need a butterfly net.

I am most impressed with the brogues, they look immaculate and what a beautiful deep chestnut colour.

Hahaha Starr, you crack me up. It just so happens that everything you find is either beige or rust colored. I definitely do not have thrift store voodoo in that kind of way! You have a gift.

PS Show us a bigger picture of the butterfly dress, please please!

I love how not only have you found awesome stuff, but it's colour co-ordinated into a covetable looking collection. You have a true eye for vintage bargains.

These are all little gems, and worth outing your bad habit for.

These pieces have history. Now it's your turn to add a little spice to them.

The collar is to die for! It will look so pretty with a simple knit wool black dress!
Excellent thrift store superpowers!

Oh haha that would have been lovely! I must not have looked hard enough :P
I went to two Savers just out of LR and a value village (I think) I also went to a dodgy Salvation Army (where I found my favourite dress...full of holes...but I still love it) and sady my dream pair of leather woven ankle boots that didn't fit me :(
Oh I also went to a big warehouse style one that for the life of me I can not remember the name of (was AMAZING)
Your finds are perfect! I would have picked up exactly the same things :D your style is the best!
