Skirt: Hannah's
Shoes: Old Navy
Hat & Purse: Estate Sale
Big thanks to my friend Hannah for letting me borrow her skirt today! It's been hanging in her closet for a few months now and she was so sweet to let me carry it home after a visit on Friday. She's got some of the best taste in clothes and furniture of anyone else I know here in Little Rock! Though her sartorial choices tend to land more on the vintage menswear side of things, it's certainly a style that I can appreciate.
Occasionally she stumbles upon girlie pieces that she loves and can't stand to leave behind. There were two skirts in the batch of clothes that she showed me, and no surprise, I love them both. The one in the photos above is the first and quite possibly my favorite. I felt so very French in this outfit, though it was probably just the silly hat! I think a couple of people even told me that I looked like a French spy. I always love hearing all the different interpretations of my outfits.
I'm afraid the other skirt I borrowed is a tad snug for my hips. What a shame too! It's such a great 60's knee length skirt done in a wool, chevron print fabric. Maybe I can convince Hannah to put it on for some pictures one of these days!
Congratulations to Midwest Mayhem! You won the Designer Apparel giveaway.

Absolutely adore this look. So simple yet it has so many dimensions to it :) I love the little ruffle-pleating details on your shoes. PS- You have amazing eyes. Actually.
I agree that it looks a bit French, I think it is the mix of cream and black, such a classic combination. And I just love your little pill box hat with the nobble on top, so cute!

Love the photo beside the pile of tires Starr! That hat is awesome too!
Black and white polka dot skirt--you need to steal it!
Well not really. It's that cute though.
I have a similar hat that always makes me feel very French as well. Though, I think your entire outfit leans toward a very vintage French look. Polka dots help, too. :)
I love this outfit, very french indeed!! Your skirt is just lovely!

You look very chic. You always use such original compositions. The contrast with the urban enviroment and the tyres looks fab.

That hat is so perfect, I love to dohicky on top, it reminds me of a hat a little monkey would wear while entertaining on the street. Which seems like a weird compliment but I've always wanted on!
