It's been a bit of a delay getting to my Labor Day photos, but between listing clothes, styling outfits, printing tickets, making lists and Wal-mart trips, and still going to school and birthday parties, I haven't had much time to devote to pictures.
I wish I could say these photos were taken during a Labor Day picnic at a serene location with my honey, but that would be a big fat lie. Jake spent the holiday playing video games at a friends house, and I did a lot of the things listed above, along with riding my bike to the Clinton Library for some outfit shots. The clouds were real pesky that day, and every time I'd have the perfect shot setup, the sun would hide behind the clouds again. It was annoying, and I spent half the time sitting and waiting for the sun to get out and do it's business.
I love the steep heels on the lawn of the president's library though. I love that they make me look like I'm in a vast place—assuming you don't see that helicopter in the background, of course—and I love that they shield me from any tourists passing by. It's just me surrounded by three walls of grass!

I love the first and second photo..sometimes it's worth all the sitting and waiting when you get great shots like the ones above
beautiful lighting too
That first photo looks crazy with the colours and then you look closer and there's a helicopter in the sky!
I love the heli in the sky!! It's like a future prairie apocalypse world... I have some imagination. I love the look!

Hooray bike! Going through a bit of bike madness this week as is evident in my blog.
I kind of find the helicopter in the background cute and funny!
I have the same frustration with clouds. I can take five photos in a row and have the lighting look completely different in each because pesky clouds keep moving :)

"vast" is exactly the right word for the feel of these photos. it's almost a little surreal, like you're in a dream of wide open grassy planes (excluding the chopper).

lovely lighting. adore the shadow shot ever so. <3
Oh, is that dress ever sweet. It looks soooo great against the blue sky and green hill. Such talent to get a shot like that!
So cute, and there's a helicopter! Love it, I want that weather!
i didnt even see the helicopter until you mentioned. my eye for detail obviously isnt very good. I kinda like how it is there though. shows the real power of nature and how small and insignificant people are. you look like a doll as per usual :) xXx
Yeah, everything is super hectic right now, since school has started up. I can only imagine how busy you might be.
Lovely shots this post. Love the dress, it's just so cute on you.
