Vintage Romper & World Cup Parties!

Necklace: ModCloth $27
Vintage Romper: Flea Market $2
Socks: Thrift $1
Oxfords: Thrift $7

I wore my bazooka bubblegum romper to a World Cup watch party this afternoon in a slight attempt to show my support for the Netherlands. I still don't understand why their national color is orange and their flag is red, white, and blue, but like I said, it was a very small attempt at participation (of course, Jake is far sadder about the loss). In happier news, my friend Myriam is doing a study abroad program in Madrid, and the lucky lady is getting to celebrate the Spanish win with all the natives!

I honestly have been trying to take the photos back outdoors, but tons of sporadic summer showers keep getting the way. Their the kind of showers that cause my hair to poof up like that girl in that Infusium 23 commercial. I always remember her screaming when she sees herself in the mirror, and that's exactly how the humidity makes me hair look! I guess it's nice to have the indoor photo option though. The studio lights were definitely a great investment, and tomorrow I actually get to put them for work! I'm working on a big shop update complete with a nice white background and a model.

okay i know you're going to think i'm crazy but i sooooo envy you that poofy-hair humidity. it's my favorite. to me there is nothing sexier or more free and fresh than wild crazy humidity-curly hair! that's why i love going to new orleans, and south carolina, and the tropics of mexico! you feel like a real mermaid. anyway enough about that. your romper is hot as blazes and absolutely fabulous. sorry for your man about the netherlands, and i hope you can give him some comforting smooches!

I feel your pain with the frizzy hair, girl. My curls turn to a puffball when I get out in this humidity!

I like how this romper looks like a dress but secretly it's a romper, and $2 is such a bargain! Great matching the luggage to the shoes as well.

Netherlands flag always makes me think of France. I was at a world cup event too last night (and for Netherlands) and was on the edge of my seat all evening.

At least you have a nice indoor set up! I would not mind shooting indoors with lighting and props like that :)

Man oh, Man!!! Yesterday was so ridiculous! I managed to snag a table near a big flat screen to watch the game with some friends whilst sippin' on my Sangria. I watched most of the game, when I wasn't eyeing the cute French boys sitting nearby. (Pretty sure one winked at me)

I'm so happy they won. Could you imagine the riot that would've surely taken place?

Love the romper! I hit up the flea market here yesterday, but it was a total bust. The Spanish just don't seem that big on thrift/vintage. Man, we have it good in Arkansas. At least the month of rebajas has everything retail on the cheap!
