Preparing For A Shoot

No time for a real post today since I have two shoots scheduled and lots of dresses to be putting on, but I figured I'd use this time to give you guys a peek of what I did to prepare for the shoot instead.

I started with a nice bright color palette to spice things up this time around...

found hats for styling,

purses for sale,

and an ocean of shoes that need to find homes too.

I created a very organized mess,

hemmed dresses,

and styled outfits.

I stopped to doll up my dress form,

and then again to take a blurry outfit photo for the day.

And as your reading this, I'm probably out taking the photos I prepared for. Hopefully I'll be able to have some those up by the end of the week!

Ann Taylor Shirt: Thrift $6
Jeans: F21 $12.90
Shoes: Salvation Army $6
Gap Cardigan: Hand me down from a friend
Heart Necklace: Yard Sale $2.50

LOVE your outfit. I can only dream that my vintage office/workspace can even begin to look as organized as this! Must get back to the big spring clean. Can't wait to see the results of the shoot!!

I especially liked when you wrote down the possible outfit combination. I did that to help me packing for a trip to NYC and it took the worry out of dressing for everyday. You have such beautiful handwriting too. Looking forward to see the photos soon.

Look at all that vintage! My entire life is an organized mess, but it's all mine and I somehow manage to stay on top of things.

Your shoes are preeeetty!
Wow, you found so many amazing things! I really like the light pink Keds, they would match my rose patterned skirt perfectly. Yes, if only I had money, I am pretty broke for the month (well...always, technically)

it is so fun to see how you create and style and organize your shoots. nothing i do is ever organized! i am planning a big river photo shoot on tuesday with several girlfriends as models, but lord knows i will probably just heap all my goodies into vintage luggage and make the boys carry it all. still, you are quite inspiring. i'm really into the way you style the different sets of clothing, and i LOVE the brights right now. i have a bunch of those too, summer beachy yellows and hot pinks and bathing suits. it's quite addictive and fun to live this vintage life, huh?!

I really admire the fact that you're making inexpensive clothing look really expensive and fresh. Work it out.

Zodiac skirt? I am intrigued! Also I spy a pair of white oxfords that might be calling to me.
