Wooden Swings & Blogger Meetups

Oh, there's nothing quite like waking up to a thunderstorm when you know you have a morning photoshoot scheduled. I'm not sure how much longer I can go with these outdoor shop photos before moving them inside completely. It takes enough to coordinate a schedule between my models, but then to have to factor in mother nature and all her business too. I'm not sure I'll ever get anything listed again! I already had another shoot scheduled for Sunday with three different models, so I guess I'll be pushing today's shoot back until then. The forecast looks good for now with only a 10% chance of rain, but that could shoot up to 60% overnight and no one in this great state would be shocked.

Tomorrow is a big day too. A big, happy one! I plan on waking up early for a two and a half hour drive to Ft. Smith, Arkansas where Annie from Little Ocean Annie will be waiting to meet me. We're planning coffee (chocolate milk for me), pastries, thrifting, and of course, a little photo session too. I'm really excited to meet Annie! Just from her blog and chatting with her through emails I can already tell we're gonna be fast friends. I'm sort of an awkward person when I first meet people, but I have this feeling it's not even going to be that way with Annie. Besides the fun-filled day of meeting her and thrifting my heart out, I'm also looking forward to the scenic drive to Ft. Smith. I rarely get up that way in Arkansas, so it's nice to have an excuse to make the drive. It's not too deep in the beautiful Ozark Mountains, but it's just enough change from Little Rock to satisfy me. We'll take lots and lots of photos and report back on Saturday!

As for the pictures I'm posting now, this is what I wore to a meeting yesterday. I took the first three photos with my tripod and remote, and then my sister came by and took this last one for me. She was so excited to tell me about a new wooden swing she discovered on our block because she knows how much I love them. She used to ride around with me everywhere as I searched for one to use in my photographs. I'm so happy our neighbor attached this one to a limb. It's even better than what I could've imagined! As Kristi and I walked home we fantasized a forest where every tree had it's own wooden swing.
Just think about it.
Wouldn't that be the most magical forest of all!

have a great time at your meet-up!! I love the skirt and how you always find the best things at goodwill. If only the one by me had stuff from before 1990...all thrifty places around here only do more modern styles. It is annoying as can be.

I love the third photo best by the way!!!

I hope a little girl lives in that house with the wooden swing. Seems like a magical place to sit and think after a day at school.

Haha, is it weird that I just a whole scenario in my head?
