Kitty

I loved all the suggestions you guys gave me for kitty names yesterday. It's funny that so many of you recommended we start it with 'lady' or 'miss' because I kinda have an obsession with animals having titles (I once had a dog named Mr. Farley). I mean, the main art piece hanging above our t.v. is a lynx dressed up as a general.

We're all animals: General Lynx

I always said that if we ever got a male cat we'd name him President Theodore Roosevelt III. I know that's kind of silly (and their actually is a man who's named that), but there's something sort of important sounding about it which I like. Too bad male cats can be a pain. We opted for the lady which is making my important title thing impossible! I don't really like 'queen' and 'lady' or 'miss' don't sound nearly as powerful as 'president' or 'general'. My friend recommended 'governess' which also reminded me of Fraulein Maria from The Sound of Music! But still, none of those match President Rosie. Oh wait! President Rosie III. That may take some sweet talkin' to get Jake to allow that because he's pretty dead set on Monster, but I think I could sneak it in as one of her many nicknames. :)

Hey Starr! Your post made me smile, because it's so adorable and that kitty is so cuteeee! Love all the names you came up with :) I love striped dresses, something so elegant about the lines and silhouette, you look like such a lady. I think the kitty needs a miniature boater hat :)

i can't believe you are already taking kitty along on photo shoots, what a fabulous idea! i wish any of my cats were sweet and calm enough to come with me places. she is seriously breathtaking, and so are you! maybe when she gets a little bigger you can call her fraulein. i just know nicknames are going to abound so it doesn't even matter what you settle on. my cat is daphne, but we call her beanie or bip.

Oh my goodness Starr, it is so funny that your going to name your kitty that! My beloved sewing machine Theodore, is actually named after him too. How silly. I have a weird thing of naming my important inanimate objects (computer, sewing machine, etc.)with either very foreign names or very important names. Or both!

Beautiful photo spread!! Your dress and wedges are amazing. That kitten is the most beautiful thing ever. We have a very pretty calico and we had a hard time whittling down names for her. How about Beezus? Lady Beezus I guess..

your kitten is so adorable, I have two cats and I just adore them I think its sweet you taking on the kitty with allergies and all , if it becomes a problem invest in a couple of bottles of Zyertec, the price has come way down and you can buy it over the counter and it covers pet allergies!

You look stunning in these pictures! What a beautiful dress. And President Rosie III is, of course, adorable. I was just thinking the other day that if we adopted two more cats (or dogs) I would name them Hercule and Jane, after the Agatha Christie characters. I love the idea of naming a kitten or puppy Hercule:)

You look so mod and sort of like a yummie cotton candy at the same time. Didn't know it was possible but clearly you did it.
