Forest Doll Video!

I feel kind of silly for hyping my video up to be anything grand yesterday (because it's hardly that), but after making a last minute song change in the middle of the night I can say I'm satisfied with my work. I'm incredibly fickle when it comes to making final clip placements and song decisions, but I suppose I'll get a little better at it once everything in iMovie becomes more familiar. So with that said, don't get your expectations too high. It's short and sweet and just a tiny glimpse into my wonderful world of adventures.

Forest Doll. from Starr Crow on Vimeo.

I shot this video using a Sony Handycam DCR SX41 and a tripod, and I edited it in iMovie. It's set to Joanna Newsom's "On A Good Day".

i pretty much avoid video cameras at all costs so it's lovely to watch someone who is completely comfortable in front of one!

Love.

One thing: You showed us the house specifically 2xs (I think), and it created an expectation that we would be taken there. So I think I wanted to see you up at the house, in and around it.

Starr that video was beautiful, and not in that "leaving a nice comment" sort of way, but in the "like WOW great & inspiring job" kind of way. And your music choice was perfect, too. I can't wait to see more!

what a pretty and haunting little scene like something and someplace lost in time. i've been obsessed with this song all march and april. i love that you chose it to emphasize nature as opposed to what she's saying about personal relationships although both aspects of the song are beautiful and completely utterly heartbreaking. this is super lovely and i love the muted colors and the adorable faces you make, a perfect forrest doll indeed!

I love your little videos, they have such a whimsical, nostalgic feel to them which is really endearing.

P.S: I am an idiot. While trying to publish your lovely comment I somehow made it disappear. I am still not sure how it happened but I really appreciated your dropping by. =D

Also I think you have rad taste in music! Joanna Newsom is awesome, her song "The Book of Right-on" is one of my favorites.

P.s. I love your wonderful world of adventures.

yeah the shirt of my outfit is detachable, so I am going to be wearing the jumper with everything. It is so comfortable. The shirt I can also wear with everything but I don't know what I have that I could wear it with at this point in time. hehe.
How are you doing today?

Hello! :)
You have a VERY beautiful blog here too. I had the same reaction when I read that article. At first, I was thrilled. But after reader further down to the comments, I wasn't sure if I should be flattered or offended!
Oh well, I guess we can't please everyone. I say, just take it as a compliment and keep doing what you're doing. If our blog readers are happy, then that matters a lot more than what nea sayers think :)
