Coachella Inspiration.

I'm not gonna lie, it's always a luxury to have Coachella come before Bonnaroo so I can take in as much festival style inspiration as possible before picking out my outfits. The festivals are a little different seeing as not as many people camp out at Coachella as they do at Bonnaroo, but it's a festival nonetheless. At Bonnaroo your gross. All the time. Unless your willing to get up early to stand in line and pay $7 for a shower (or smart enough to travel in a camper), you pretty much stink the entire weekend. It's hard to wear any makeup becuase your hot and sweaty, and it's also kinda hard to dress cute when all you want is comfy shoes and a loose fitting clothes. It's extreme conditions that I would not be able to tolerate if not for an unbelievable weekend of incredible music and the feeling of being in a completely different universe than your own.

So while I factor in my own specific conditions, here's a little inspiration from some lovely ladies that attended Coachella.

Nora Kirkpatrick from Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros
You may know her from this band I posted about (if you've followed me long).

Victoria Legrand from Beach House. My number one girl crush in the world. I don't care about leather shorts so much, but I love this girl so much. I'll have to do a post on her soon.

I found this girl from last years round up, but her pastel dress is so sweet I think it's inspired my Bonnaroo color scheme. Although, not that I think about it, I should wear something bright so that I don't get lost!

Dying over this ring!

Festival fashion is always fun to see. It's always an interesting combination of fantasy and functionality.

I'm jealous you're going to Bonnaroo, I would much rather go to that than Coachella, but that's just my little humble opinion.

Really nice inspiration. On a whim, I just bought my ticket to Lollapalooza...I guess I'm going.

Not sure if the weather will permit such attire in Chicago, but I'm also inspired in my packing for Spain. XD

So much to do, not enough to wearrrr!

These are so great! I want to go to a festival in the worst way, but the Northeast definitely lacks in awesomeness when it comes to music festivals... That girl with the piano is super rad!

I went to a party out in Indio right next to the festival and had a chance to go but was having too much fun at the pool and open bar to attend. Plus there were a couple surprise performances at the party which was much more enjoyable than dealing with the crowds.

I only stayed one night and I'm whopped. I feel like I'm getting old!

I admire those who can wear leather shorts but I doubt my ability to do so...
LOVE that elephant ring, would offer to buy it right off her finger!

remember to make it easy for yourself if you have to use the...ahem...port-a-john. for me, that would rule out rompers, unless you don't have to fuss over it :( all of the outfits you posted are adorable!

Easy and breezy is the key for festivals--and lots of water & sunscreen. Can't wait to hear all about Bonaroo once you get that under your belt!

Wowowow Nora Kirkpatrick looks awesome. I want that dress.
I wish it was festival season here!
I love that girl with the big hat too.
I have to say, I don't know if it's different in Australia or if it just depends on the time, but the 'Big Day Out' (one of Aus's biggest festivals held in January in the hheeeaaatt) last year was 45 degrees celsius and when it came to fashion... it just didn't exist. Most people were almost naked! Haha

Looks like Festival style in the US is generally much cooler than it is here. I love a playsuit myself, but here in Australia there are far too many bikini tops and hot pants for my liking. Even in winter!
You'll have to post you final decision.
