My 3 favorite things about antiquing...

I told you I'd be back with more from yesterdays day trip to Bryant, and here I am, as promised, with an overload of pictures showing off my 3 favorite things about Blue Suede Shoes antique shopping mall.

1. All the lovely vintage to wear (you name it, she's got it) at reasonable prices with tons of deadstock. I always spend most of my time (and money) in this area of the mall, but I'm sure you can all understand why. I have quite the tendency for blue right now as you can tell from my 3 purchases below, and guess what.... I got something for one of you guys too! I can't wait to share.

I'm kicking myself for leaving this dress behind. It was only $14 and 20% off on top of that, but I had already spent too much money and opted for the other dresses instead. I shouldn't have taken a picture of it because now I pretty much have to go back and get it. Look at those ruffles!

2. Vintage miniature circuses that have so many things going on in them there's no way to capture it all with a camera. It was a whole market of people in about 6 different areas with tons of interesting stuff going on in each. I looked like a fanatic with my camera, but I couldn't help but want to share this with you all. I've never seen anything like it and was blown away by all the details.

3. Finally, there's the childhood memories I revisit every time I go to this antique mall. Who can forget Garfield and Odie, Raggedy Ann and Andy, E.T., Mr. Koolaid, those big eyed children who weren't from my decade but always remind me of childhood, and the Carebear skates that actually remind me more of long Saturday's in the driveway spent rollerblading around listening to Debbie Gibson and Roxette (lol, man I'm even playing "It Must Have Been Love" right now).

Now I wanna go again!

Hi!

I've just discovered your blog, and it is absolutely wonderful! Your style is such an inspiration. Thank you for your post on the Blue Suede Shoes Antique Mall, I drive by there on my way to Little Rock every once in a while, and have always wished to stop and check it out. Now I'll really have to give it a visit!

It's great to find another blog written by someone from Arkansas!

That blue is divine for Spring/Summer! And, yes, you have to go back & get that lovely blue ruffled beauty! That mall looks heavenly! And, hey, I have and "Eve" print that I just bought, but mine has two doe eyed girls listening to records spin on an old record player. I'm in love with that print & hope to find more so I can group them on my wall. Your blog always delights my soul!

It's time like these when I know I have to leave California to do actual vintage shopping. I just adore antique mall's but the ones down here are way overpriced.

I still have a bit of drool on my chin from the hat room... I WANT!

I just want to play with all the bright colored gloves and stare at the miniature circus for hours.

That Kool-aid pitcher is amazing. I probably would have snatched it up, even though I never drank Kool-Aid as a child.

That vintage section looks amazing. I work at a vintage store and it's always so hard to not go home with something every day.
