Just like Dorothy.

Despite the fact I had so much to do yesterday, I took a little play time for myself and had a lunch date at my favorite pizza place, Damgoode Pies, with one of my favorite friends, Cody Henslee. On our way home we made a short stop in Hillcrest to get some fresh air and to take some photos of my outfit. I was extra thankful to have some help since I really didn't have much time to be fooling around with my tripod.

When I put the photos up on Facebook I got one of my favorite comments ever from my friend Lisa (in reference to the first picture posted). Lisa wrote:

This reminds me of The Wizard of Oz:
"soon they found themselves in the midst of a great meadow of poppies. Now it is well known that when there are many of these flowers together their odor is so powerful that anyone who breathes it falls asleep, and if the sleeper is not carried away from the scent of the flowers, he sleeps on and on forever. But Dorothy did not know this, nor could she get away from the bright red flowers that were everywhere about; so presently her eyes grew heavy and she felt she must sit down to rest and to sleep.

This post reminded me that i need to seriously get loads of photos off my camera now. Thanks for the reminder. I want to fall asleep int he sunshine now thanks to your photos, especially since it rained for two days and we have the second set of floods here in the past month.

I was also going to say you remind me of some fairytale character, lost in her own world, and what a beautiful world, it is.

What a lovely post! I love the inspiration that always comes through in your blog. If you would like you can see my blog at www.shelbyharper.blogspot.com , I've been writing for a while, but no one I know is online often, and without any comments, I wonder if it's worth keeping it on. So take a look if you would like, and tell me what you think :) Thanks again for the wonderful blog.

Ah you were built for vintage clothing. I don't think you were supposed to be born when you did. Totally wrong era!

You look lovely.
