It's never too late to be who you wanna be.

One of these days I'll fulfill my dreams of traveling the world, but for now I keep happy by placing little travel trinkets around the house. Each piece has it's very own story which can never be replaced, reminding me of all the beautiful memories and stories I have in store.

Someone once told me (or maybe it was Oprah, I can't even remember) to picture my life from an 80 year old's perspective. They said to write my obituary full of my life's accomplishments and memories as I would want to see it at that age. Travel and love were two things at the top of my list, and ever since then I've held a promise to myself to someday make those things happen.

Life is a blank slate. Even though you may feel behind or unaccomplished your not. I know we won't all get to live to 80, but suppose we did. That means we've all got a lot more days left in this world to become that person we've always wanted to be.

This is such a beautifully touching post Starr. And something that I really needed to read today. I like your positive perspective and now I want to work on mine.

Well said...it doesn't do any good to say that we'll never be able to do something. I thought I'd never go to Germany, but my husband simply saved the money and went to a travel agent and off we went. If it weren't for him, I'd probably never have gone. I'm trying to become more of a "do-er."

Yay for traveling around the world! Wow that's an interesting thought! I'll have to think about that and what my perspective would be...at age 80.

wonderful sentiments! it's so important to pause and reflect on life as being a gift and taking that perspective always seems to make the trials and tribulations we face seem minute in comparison to the big picture. kudos to your positivity!
