Gingham Girl & Misikko Hana Elite Flat Iron Giveaway

I'm always kind of iffy when I get approached about giveaways and reviews of products on blog. On one hand I want to take the offers so you guys have something cool to win, but on the other hand I want to turn them down because they feel like blatant commercials in the middle of something beautiful I'm trying to create. That said, I'm extremely selective with offers that come my way. The product has to be something I believe in or am excited about for me to give it any kind of bump on my blog.

When Misikko approached me about reviewing their Hana Elite flat irons, I knew I had something golden. Not only could I use a flat iron since my Chi of five years broke a few months back (it was a trooper), but the fact that Misikko was a family run business with John in charge of advertising and momma packing the orders was also something that was very appealing to me. I know for me flat irons have always been an investment (some of them worth it, some of them not), so I was happy to be able to review this product for you girls to let you know whether it was worth your hard earned doll hairs or not.

Brace yourselves. It's kind of weird seeing my afro curls straightened!

The Hana Elite was fantastic! I loved the ceramic plates and the option of a temperature dial. That, in combination with the silky smooth Hana Shine Shield, left my hair so sleek and shiny. I forgot what it felt like to be able to run my fingers through my hair without damaging my curls (and I had no idea my hair had gotten so long either).

I'm giving this product a thumbs up for sure. AND. Guess what...
I have one for you guys too!

I feel the same way about giveaways. Some requests I get are just so random. But this one, this one, is awesome. I totally could use this to tame my frizzy mane! Count me in!

Also LOVE that gingham dress! One of my all time fave patterns.

aww you look so cute!!

You look fantastic with straight hair, too! I'm over the moon for gingham this summer, as well. PS: I know I'm not eligible for this giveaway as a Canadian, but that's okay, I've got a stellar straightener (it was a MUST when I was living on the West coast). This one does look top notch, though!!!

Aww your hair looks so shiny and sleek straightened! And could that gingham dress be any cuter? It's perfect the way you wear them with those socks and shoes:)

I appreciate your selectiveness in giveaways and ads. It's nice to not be treated as a consumer while reading blogs.

That dress is absolutely adorable- especially with the jacket.

Ummm... I could totally use a fabulous straightener to tame my wild mane! :)

And I love your hair straight! It's sooo pretty! (but I'm clearly partial to your curly hair... because I can relate!) :)

Wow, your hair looks great! I have major jealous of your beautiful curls, too, though.

I'd love a new straightener. Mine is getting a little temperamental with me.

Just this morning I was thinking of buying a straightener because blowdrying my hair just isn't doing it anymore with this gross drizzly weather out here on Long Island. Hope I win! Love your blog by the way. I just started one of my own and following has inspired me in so many ways...Thank you! (email: suzster3@gmail.com)

I used to have a gingham dress almost exactly like this, but I sold it last Summer and it's forever been one of those pieces that I can't forget about. It looks great on you!

P.S. I got your tweet (twitter comment?) about participating in one of my blog features. I responded, but just for good measure, shoot me an email to mousevoxvintage[at]yahoo[dot]com so I can put you on the list!

What an awesome giveaway! I know what you mean about straightening. I have super curly, slightly frizzy hair, and it's getting so long that my old high school straightener just isn't cutting it anymore. i think it might be time to retire that mammoth and this would be the perfect replacement ;). I would love to win!! *crosses fingers*
