bare leg city sites.

Spring is here, and I'm all smiles.

I got my first real taste of it on Sunday when (for the first time this year) I didn't have to wear panty hose. Yipeeee! I told that to one of my guy friends and his reply was "wow, your excited about that?". My immediate thought was of you guys. I knew all of you would understand what I was talking about and were probably just as ecstatic about it as I was.

To take full advantage of such a rare day we made sure to spend as much time outdoors as possible. My sister tagged along with me and the boy to meet a handful of friends downtown at the Flying Burrito before splitting off with me to explore the town. I had chicken tacos and kicked off my day of photo-taking-madness with a shot of some of my favorite vintage gasoline signs that have dominated their wall space ever since I've known the place. I wish I would have gotten better shots of all our friends, but my attention was more on my tacos than the camera at the time. Shortly after we finished eating, my sister Kristi and I walked all around the river market area to get some photos of the city and some much needed outfit shots.

Isn't she the cutest.

She made my life easy and took all these photos for me so I didn't have to lug around my tripod. I know I told you guys I was brave with it and all, but the market area is just way too full of people for me to feel comfortable.

We got some really great shots of some of the staple features of Little Rock, and we had a good time roaming around, enjoying the weather. I got home around five and immediately started uploading these photos, before I was interrupted by one of my friends from work. He called to invite me to a dogs birthday party just across the river and told me that everyone from work was there but me. Of course my curiosity got the best of me and led me to explore this mysterious "birthday party".

It was amazing. Apparently the dog owner holds a neighborhood wide birthday party for his lab every year complete with free booze, free food, a band, a blow up jumping thingy-ma-bob for the kids to play in, and a guest list that included men, women, children, and dogs. It was the most bizarre but incredible event I've been to in a while, and definitely way cooler than any birthday party I've ever had myself!

Dang, girl! You've got some nice legs. But seriously, I'm way excited for it to be spring, too. I live in California, and it's generally at least in the 60s here, but I just feel weird going tightless unless it's at least April or May. All my Midwestern upbringing coming out.

I would like to go thrifting with you, as well, because you find the most amazing/cute things for the best price.

I first thought her vest was part of her hair. I was like, woah! You both look so cute. What I hate most about winter is the restraint of layers, but I don't know what I'm going to do when I have to get rid of tights. It'll feel weird.

YOUR PHOTOS ARE AMAZING, that's why you're one of my daily reads. Your outfits and photography inspire me, Starr!!! Love the print dress and the socks with heels! Yeah the architecture in San Francisco is quite stunning! I haven't even been to a flea market out here... sad. I missed it on Sunday at Alameda, it's once a month, first Sunday of the month... I was and am broke. Lame.

I just moved from there to Austin - and I MISS IT SO MUCH!

I've already gone back twice to visit it (well, and my grandma, and my ex, and my friends...)

Your river market shots are gorgeous, and I love the burrito!

It's good you have sunshine, where I live it's still winter. For me it's not a problem I go all year in shorts (well I'm not a girl).
