Little Blue Flower Buds.

Since I've been so good all semester by only missing one class since school started (because I had to work), I decided to skip French class on Friday to go to an estate sale I had read about earlier in the week. The email I received about it was short and sweet and pretty much said all I needed to know when it mentioned the vintage clothing. I've missed a lot of them here lately, and the ones I have been able to make it to have been picked over and hardly worth my time. I decided I had to be the first one there this time around. It was a good move seeing as the woman's vintage dresses were exactly my size and in the most abundant quantities I've seen since visiting the overpriced vintage shop just down the road from my house. I think this one is my favorite, mostly because of the little blue flower buds and the fact that lightweight and girlie. I've been on the look out for more sundresses so this one was a welcomed entry to my collection of vintage pieces. Hopefully I can show you more of the dresses throughout the coming week.

I also forgot to mention my twitter account when I started it earlier in the month. I don't tweet a whole lot because I don't really have anything relevant to say, but occasionally something funny will happen and I just can't contain holding it in! Anyway, I would be delighted to have my readers follow me, and if you do, please send me a message so I can follow you too. :)

Vintage Dress: Estate Sale $12
Tights: Walmart $2.50
Vintage Oxfords: Goodwill $6
Vintage Coat: Flea Market $12

This is so pretty. I have something sort of similar from the 50's but its not nearly that nice. I love the sleeves and the pattern.

I never find out about estate sales around here that advertise clothing...there's service I get e-mails through, but they're usually all furniture. How do you find out about them?

I really like your dress! It totally tricked me into thinking it's springtime where you're from! And you're much better than I am. I kind of routinely skipped class because "I had a headache". But hey I always made up the work:)

This dress is so delicate and dainty. I love sundresses, good find!

I'm really glad I found your blog! I love your sense of style, you're very inspiring to me.

When I have a chance to breathe, I will definitely send you the questions. Oh film cameras are beautiful. I've shot with a Super 8, except it didn't come out well. Shooting on film can be very scary... eeek. But when you get it right, it's so pretty.

OMG I love art history and find anthropology very interesting. I wish I could minor in art history. If they offered minors, I would do it in a heartbeat. If you need help with anything to do with film, feel free to ask me.

And no I don't think I got your link?! :(

I love the cut of the dress on you.

Twitter will get addicting. I've had mine for a couple years but I use it more than anything. It's like a little micro-blog and it's great to keep up with a separate blog roll.

Film can get very expensive. Well I'm in San Francisco, so I'm basing my knowledge on the prices here. I'm sure they vary in different places. I've never bought film, I get it from my classes, the film costs are included in the course fee (lab time, film, processing, etc.), it usually comes out to $400-600. But if you buy Super 8 and process the film, it should cost a lot less than that hopefully. That fee is for 16mm film. So I guess that was irrelevant, sorry!

I want a film projector! Those things are cool, don't know how much they cost though. I have never had the chance to learn how to thread a projector, one day... one day. Film can be very expensive, that's why I have neglected my film SLR, because film costs money and developing costs money... digital is just more convenient... ah I feel lazy, but I'm broke. So play around with your digital handycam, I'm sure you can achieve pretty things with it!

I love art history, I've taken them as liberal art courses. The first course was ancient through 15th century, then 15th-19th century, then 20th century, now I'm taking World Art history. I've learned so much in such a short period of time. I love how art history encompasses so much more than just art, there's social, political, historical issues, that are so interesting and educational. It has been great. I haven't learned about Egyptian art, but I did study Egyptian fashion, which I adore. Oh, Greek art is beautiful. I need and want to go to Greece one of these days. It's my number 1 to go destinations!

Thanks for the link! That's so weird, yesterday, I JUST watched a music video with Kirsten Dunst. Check it out, it's so weird. I'm not a huge fan of her acting, but I think she's pretty and has cute style. The film is very whimsical indeed, I love it! Thanks!

Just in case you haven't, you can watch a film I made here. Have a lovely Sunday! Speak to you soon :)

Good move skipping class for this estate sale!!! That dress is completely gorgeous!

Your oxfords remind me of ones that I just sold....I desperately tried keeping them for myself (they were a half size too small), and ended up limping around by the end of the day! haha!

And praise the day you can wear that dress without tights to keep your legs warm! Haha. :) I'll send you a message on Twitter! I tweet irrelavently, too.

It seems to me you always find such good bargains!!! Again, beautiful. I love the combination of the tights with all of this!
In response to your comment on my blog, I totally would love to use your therapeutic location finding too. . it is hard to do so when I have two small children toted with me everywhere haha. One day in the future though, I'm sure. Sadly all the abandoned areas or the really gorgeous places to photograph at get shut down fast or are secured by video cameras, etc. It's not very fun. Before I had them I used to go to all the best places!! Now I don't even know where to look! haha. I should take some tips from you ;). Too trafficy around here. I live too near to NYC, but I would much rather go to a suburban or rural location!! I am glad you are keeping out of trouble too! haha. Little Rock seems so beautiful.

Anyway, thanks for the complements on my photographs being all pastel.

I love this outfit! Although the dress is a little longer than what I would normally wear, I love the pattern and the colours! I'm attempting to be more daring with my fashion statements for 2010, and I really want to try different coloured tights. Those shoes are perfect.
