The poll has ended and the results are in:
you guys wanna see more outfits.

Well I kinda hate to break it to you, but I really don't look too cute all the time, especially in the colder months. To add to that, I've just enrolled back in school for the first time in three years and the early hours have sorta dampened my creativity. Not to worry though, I'll do my best to post at least two outfits a week even if they aren't my very favorite looks.

The outfit I'm wearing here is full of all kinds of new pieces I added to my closet this week. The gingham dress was a Goodwill find that's actually 3 sizes too small but fits because of all the wonderful gores, and the lace bodysuit which I'm in absolutely in looove with was an American Apparel purchase that I splurged on after admiring all the different lace pieces on lookbook and other street style sites. The shoes are probably my favorite part though. Even though they were left at my house nearly two years ago by an old fashion school friend I've waited till now to actually put them on, and now I think they're my favorite pair. I can't believe they've sat there unworn for so long.

I tried to have a bit of fun with the photos today too. I get tired of being posey-posey all the time and sometimes just wanna let some personality show. These photos are a great representation of just how silly and energetic I can be. I've also been playing around with lots of different editing colors and styles too, but I'm not real sure what I think about this set yet. Any kind of feedback would be greatly appreciated, especially from all you awesome photographers out there.

Cardigan: Gap, hand me down
Gingham Dress: Goodwill $4
Lace Bodysuit: American Apparel $40
Tights: Target $5
Vintage Leather Coach Purse: Estate Sale $30
Tweed Oxfords: Belong to Mollie.

All photos by my sister, Kristi.

A little update here:
I forgot to announce the sweater giveaway winner yesterday, so I'm gonna have to squeeze it into todays post. Congratulations Jen from Jennifhsieh, you got a new sweater coming to your door. :) And thanks to all who participated. I had a lot of fun looking at everyones submissions!

These are beautiful, beautiful photographs, and I love the energy that you put into them -- so inspiring for my own photographs. I use a tripod for mine, so I feel a little silly running around and acting up on my own, but maybe I should get over that and stop posing so much!

I love how you put that body suit under the dress. Really cute! And these photos are beautiful. I love the tone of the photographs...how do you get that effect? And to answer your comments on my blog: 1)I'm not tall! Only 5'4'' and 2) my Formica was $200. It's the most I've spent of any piece of furniture. Annie.

Aww I love your dress, your whole outfit looks adorable! I went to this wonderful vintage store (in Boston) over weekend and thought of you- so many things I could have seen you wearing. I actually wound up getting a great vintage purse that I will be using a lot come spring. :)

Hope you had a wonderful weekend!

Much love,
Amy
