It's been awhile since I've been dazzled by a film like this one. I can't believe it's true, but even after all the Oscar hype I just watched The Curious Case of Benjamin Button for the first time. It was our third movie selection on our new Netflix account, the first being Amelie (which was incredible) and the second being Up (another goodie), and it's kinda tough to call but I think this one was my personal favorite. I loved that they all carried there own distinct life message and that they all touched me in there own sort of way, but this particular quote from Benjamin Button felt like a direct message to me, to my life at this very instance. I think about growth a lot. Who I want to be. What I want to do. I let a lot of opportunities pass because of obligations to my silly waitress job and all the other things that come with life. But as Benjamin uttered those words I began to really digest that fact that we can always change who we are but we can never regain the time we lost. When I look back at 80 will there be anything that I missed? Did I miss my chance to fly away?

aw i love the photos- i need a helmet like that! ill have to check out benjamin button, i never saw it due to the hype, but maybe ill like it!
I liked Benjamin Button a lot. My husband even liked it and he typically stays away from movies like that. But Amelie is of course one of my all time favorite movies. It actually ties for first with Casablanca.
I rented Benjamin Button from Netflix a few months ago but I never watched it. I think I was too intimidated because I heard it was super long. But I might have to make another attempt at it!
I have yet to see the movie, but now I'm very curious.
These photos are so amazing!! Makes me want to wear flying goggles.

i love your blog! i found it through chictopia (: i also loved benjamin button! i work at the movie theaters and worked last year on christmas day when this movie came out. my coworker and i got off early so we watched it, and it was amazing! it made me cry a little towards the end (:

this movie is really moving! and that's my fave line. so inspiring. we can't put age to our dreams.

Amelie is my all time favorite movie of ALL TIME...! i too am inspired by film...my boyfriend teases me sometimes because we could be watching a movie and on the edge of our seats with anticipation as to what comes next and i'll pipe up and say "OH I LOVE HER OUTFIT!" heehee :)

Amelie is also one of my favorite movies!
Her view on life improves one's mood just by watching it.
Maybe you should try out Delicatessen by the same director, but it is much darker (still cute-ish).
