Fancy.

For as long as I can remember, I've been dreaming of owning a new and what I call "fancy" camera. Whenever I browse through photos on lookbook.nu and see one up against mine, I'm shocked at the difference in quality.

As pricey as they are, it's taken me quite some time to save up, so you can only imagine my surprise when my sister told me she had a friend who was selling her Canon for around $500. I know that still sounds like a lot, but trust me, I was planning on spending way more than that! Apparently her friends car was repossessed and she needed cash quick. The camera that she purchased for $1000 was still a fantastic piece of equipment, she was just desperate for money.

That's where I came in and swooped up my new camera! Unfortunately I still don't have a tripod to hold it up since my other one is a weak and crappy Wal-mart piece so it's either the old camera for now or assistance from my sister which is exactly what I got yesterday.

Old Oscar.

Old Oscar.

Old Oscar.

Old Oscar.

Old Oscar.

Hooray for leaf angels and my very first gif!

Oh your hilarious in the moving one. I love doing leaf & snow angels. Love that dress too, it looks so nice with the blazer. $500!!! That's not bad at all. What's so nice about your posts is you always look like you have so much fun doing this. =)

Thanks for your comment dear the other day! Woa you gotta a big family. I'm an only child so I totally envy you. *Hugs*

Lovely outfit! That dress is so adorable and the shoes so cute!
I so get the camera thing, I feel the same way when I look at other people's pictures, and at yours too I must say! I guess it's kind of "the neighbor's grass is always greener" thing. And I have to add - The first photo is so pretty! :)
Have fun with your new camera! Can't wait to see the photos you'll take with it :)

Congrats on your new camera! I know the feeling. I retired my geriatric digi anno 2001 just a month ago and am passionately in love with her replacement. :-)

your dress is absolutely adorable!

I envy so much you americans that have a good will store, we don't have one of those in here so its really expensive to find vintage things, and go thrifting is so not exciting!

Yay for new cameras!

I am still a little scared of mine - and I only have a zoom lense so really need to get a 'normal lense' and a tripod (which my boyfriend is getting me for christmas!).

I love your gif! (And your outfit of course!)

Yay for a new camera- these pictures are fantastic!

I snagged my tripod at Target for about $30 and it holds up my Canon 5D well. I highly recommend checking there- and also snagging a wireless remote. It's so worth it, and makes taking "outfit of the day" pics so much easier!

Hurray for your new camera. I am also thinking of having one but whenever I see the price, I forget I ever thought of it in the first place. Your photos are really great. Especially your gif. It made me smile. Now I'm reminded about the camera again.

I love your blazer and dress. Actually, I love your style. It's inspiring.

I like that you're having fun with your photos, especially that GIF! My 2 old (hand-me-down) tripods broke. My new one is stuck in hubby's car. Yesterday, when I did my Lauren Conrad (copy cat) mugshot, my camera was on my dining table. I screamed once at my daughter coz I thought she's gonna grab and break it.
It's cool that you have your sister to hold your camera for you.
Great photos, girl!!!

oh goodness, i'm so with you, your new pictures are fantastic, and i'm so jealous of your new camera! what a steal!
i struggle daily with getting good images out of my crappy 8mp cannon...luckily i'm moving into a house with a roommate who happens to be a photographer with too many cameras to know what to do with, so hopefully i'll be sporting quality images like you soon!
gorgeous outfit lady...love the leaf angel! ;)

Re:Awww, doesn't matter to miss a look ! The headpiece is really gorgeous yea:)

Ohhh and on the wolf tee,the one I'm wearing has so size. But I believe its a men's M I think. Because its loose at the side and its so long. Covers over my butt. heeee

Maybe you can get me his shoulder length and length of shirt preferred. Do you want one too ? They have like lion, eagles etc.

And girl, its okay:D You don't have to send me anything <3
