Looks like they're going to Toronto.
Congratulations Haley of Oh Votre Coeur. You are the lucky winner! Thanks again to all of you who participated, you guys always make giveaways so much fun.

Now, for what I wore yesterday.
I'm still not really sure how I feel about this experimental look, but I decided to photograph it anyway. I think I like it in concept, but as far as an everyday outfit I'm not real sure. Experimenting with my wardrobe makes me miss my college days when I had roommates on hand. It was always handy having extra opinions before leaving the house in a something new, but then again who says anybody has the right opinion on fashion. Haven't we pretty much reached the point of no rules?

That said, I still want your opinion on the layered socks....

Aww you are so cute! I love your entire outfit, and your boyfriend is silly.

As for the socks, I'm not quite sure. I do like the layered look, but I think four pairs is too much. It begins to look bulky. Maybe just wear two over your tights?

i love how everyone but me finds fantastic footwear at forever 21! those booties are too cute...

about the layered socks, i would say tentatively i'm a fan but you are right, every day would be difficult to pull off. nevertheless, love the soft billowy sleeves in this outfit.

Firstly, I love that dress!
As for the socks, I love the idea. But maybe with a plainer dress as they seem to be fighting for my attention with the dress!
But they sure do look cozy!

I really like the layered socks. They're all thin, so it doesn't look bulky. Its a good way to add extra colors, I think.

Oh and I nominated your blog for an award. Pop over to mine when you have a chance to collect it.

You pulled off the layered socks really well. I think it would take some experimenting to figure out what thicknesses and textures work together for myself, though.

{Tara} said...

Oh my goodness! The stacked stocking idea is brilliant! This reminds me of when I was in grade school and would wear two or three pairs of different-colored scrunchy socks...of course, this is much sexier and more sophisticated.

I don't experiment too much anymore either so I think I'm a bad person to ask about the socks, but I do know I love the dress/coat/bow tie together!! That coat especially is a dream.
