Vintage Photoshoot: Nineteen Forties

Like most of you ladies, I'm a huge lover of vintage fashion.
My closet is an ever growing collection of vintage pieces that I enjoy mixing and matching to form different outfits that make me feel good. I adore various historic fashions, especially ones from the 40's, but very seldom do I go all out with hats and gloves in a full fledged time warped looked.

Much to my surprise, my good friend Cody-- a photography minor at his university--needed an extra vintage-y model for an upcoming photography assignment, giving me an excuse to finally get all dolled up. He requested different colors and textures to enhance the photos, so I decided to go with a pin striped dress with cuffs, some contrasting gloves, and a nice hat and veil.

We really didn't have a specific location in mind but seeing as we both have a thing for old, decrepit buildings, we decided to explore the homes in the downtown area. We found some REALLY great places that I didn't even know existed, and we were both so thrilled with the shots that we got.

Hope you like 'em too!
